80s Classical with Jimmy Somerville, Belinda Carlisle and Howard Jones announced for 2020

JIMMY Somerville, Belinda Carlisle, Howard Jones, Nik Kershaw, Carol Decker and Go West along with host Gary Davies and the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra will be performing sounds of all your ’80s favourites live in arenas next year as part of 80s Classical.

These prestigious events, which include a night at London’s Wembley Arena, follow a very special show as part of BBC Radio 2 Friday Night is Music Night featuring some of the line-up.

Imagine the most iconic songs of the 80s reworked into breath-taking new orchestral versions and performed live by the original artists.

Expect hits such as Don’t Leave Me This Way, Heaven Is a Place on Earth, Things Can Only Get Better, China In your Hand, I Won’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me, We Close Our Eyes and many more!

Hosted by Radio 2’s Gary Davies, this is an event to take you back to the future, when the best of eighties showed the way for a new generation.

Gary commented: “One of the most incredible nights I have ever experienced was hosting this special concert when we recorded it for BBC Radio 2, It’s an emotional spine-tingling experience and I can’t wait to bring it on tour.”

Tickets go on sale at 9.30am on Friday, December 6.
