Arctic Monkeys announce UK dates (2007)

SHEFFIELD quartet the Arctic Monkeys have announced details of an 11-date UK tour this spring, including two nights at London’s Astoria in April.

The band have only recently announced that Brianstorm will be the first single to be taken from the forthcoming sophomore album Favourite Worst Nightmare, on Monday, April 16, 2007.

The highly-anticipated second album will follow a week later on Monday (23).

The boys will be at London’s Astoria on Thursday and Friday, April 12 and 13 – a venue that could soon be bulldozed to make way for an extension to Tottenham Court Road Tube station.

The full dates are (all April 2007):

9 – Guildhall, Southampton
10 – University Great Hall, Exeter
12 & 13 – Astoria, London
14 – Academy, Liverpool
16 – Academy, Newcastle
17 – CairdD Hall, Dundee
18 – Barrowlands, Glasgow
20 – Academy, Birmingham
21 & 22 – The Leadmill, Sheffield
