ASH opened their 2010 account with the three minute gem Ichiban, which forms letter G in their ground breaking A-Z Singles series.

They are now set to continue their pop-powered voyage with a UK tour in the spring.

Having re-invigorated the live circuit with their gruelling A-Z tour zigzagging across the UK last year, Ash return to some more familiar venues this April and May.

The dates are (all April and May 2010):

April
19 – Southampton University
20 – Cambridge Junction
21 – Norwich Waterfront
23 – Birmingham Irish Centre
24 – Leeds Metropolitan
25 – Newcastle O2 Academy
27 – Glasgow O2 ABC
28 – Manchester Academy 2
30 – Bristol O2 Academy

May

Commencing with A and running through the alphabet, all 26 songs in the A-Z series will be released on Ash’s own Atomic Heart Records.

Single A, True Love 1980 – and all subsequent releases – are available through all major digital outlets; as limited 7” vinyl by mail order from the band’s website – www.ash-official.com – and all good record shops. The singles are also be available as part of a digital subscription from Ash’s website.

New subscribers – who register before Thursday, January 14, 2010 – will receive an exclusive bonus track, Gallows Hill.

The song – named after an ancient site in Downpatrick, where local criminals were hung from the gallows – is a classic Ash; a pop-punk anthem shot through killer guitar riffs.

Next up in the series is the hook laden electro-pop of Space Shot – letter H – and available from January 18.
