Commencing in Glasgow on May 26, the tour will include seven dates in total and concludes at London’s O2 Arena in June.

“I can’t wait to get back out on the road!” says Lavigne. “I have the most fun when I am performing for the fans. I think that energy comes through in my live show.”

The UK tour dates are (all 2008):

May
26 – Glasgow Academy
29 – Manchester Evening News Arena
30 – Birmingham NEC
31 – Cardiff CIA

June
1 – Plymouth Pavilions
3 – Bournemouth BIC
4 – London O2 Arena

Best Damn Thing, released in April 2007, is already certified platinum in the UK and throughout Europe and has sold over 4.5 million copies worldwide.

Produced by Butch Walker (The Donnas, American Hi-Fi, Lavigne’s second album Under My Skin), Dr. Luke (Pink, Lady Sovereign), Rob Cavallo (Green Day, My Chemical Romance) and her husband Deryck Whibley, Best Damn Thing was made with fun in mind.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, December 7, at 9am and cost £27.50 (regional) and £29.50 for London (plus booking fees).
