Beverley Knight

Story by Jack Foley

UK SOUL queen Beverley Knight will be undertaking her first UK tour in two years this November, and has also announced a headline show in 2010 in the prestigious surroundings of London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Knight has also just completed work on her sixth studio album, entitled 100%, which is due for release on September 14, 2009.

The multi award-winning star has worked with a fine array of collaborators and producers to complete a body of work that is sure to be widely acknowledged as the best album of her career so far.

100% sees triple Mobo award winning Knight working with illustrious former writing partners Guy Chambers and Jimmy Hogarth (Adele, Duffy) as well as with multi Grammy Award-winning legends Jam and Lewis, and Ivor Novello winning songwriter Amanda Ghost (Beyonce, Shakira).

Knight and Ghost are co-writers of the album’s first single, Beautiful Night, due for release on September 7.

September also sees the launch of Knight’s cosmetics range for dark skin: “K by Beverley Knight”, to be launched exclusively in Selfridges stores and rolled out to John Lewis and other stores afterwards.
