Story by Jack Foley

BEYONCE is to headline a concert at Twickenham Stadium this summer in aid of Chime For Change.

The Sound Of Change Live event aims to raise funds and awareness to enable girls and women to feel empowered. It will take place at the home of English rugby on Saturday, June 1, 2013.

The line-up also includes Florence + The Machine, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, John Legend and Timbaland, plus Haim and Iggy Izalea.

Beyonce commented: “I’m excited for us to come together to bring the issues of education, health and justice for girls and women to the world stage.”

The singer’s appearance at the charity event is one of several concerts she will be playing in the UK this year.

The British leg of her Mrs. Carter world tour will begin in Birmingham on April 26 and includes several nights at London’s O2 Arena in May, while she’ll also headline this year’s V Festival in August.

Tickets for The Sound Of Change Live go on sale at 9am on Wednesday, March 27.
