Biffy Clyro and Calvin Harris for Isle of Wight Festival 2014
Story by Jack Foley
BIFFY Clyro and Calvin Harris have been confirmed as two of the main acts for the Isle of Wight Festival 2014.
Both acts will appear on the Friday night of the festival, which takes place between June 12 and 15, 2014, with rock act Biffy Clyro confirmed as a headliner.
Simon Neil, from Biffy Clyro, commented: “We are over the moon to announce that we will headline the main stage of the Isle of Wight Festival next year. To follow the likes of Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Bob Dylan and Pearl Jam is an honour.”
Other artists confirmed for the line-up are The 1975, The Waterboys, Rudimental and Passenger.
Festival promoter John Giddings added: “Friday night is going to kick it out of the park with Biffy and Calvin and special guests Rudimental – I can’t wait. Having Passenger and The 1975 already on board we’re set for one of our most contemporary years, with the class of The Waterboys complementing the young guns nicely.”
The Isle of Wight Festival will be returning to Seaclose Park in Newport for the 13th year since it relaunched.
The first set of tickets go on sale on Thursday, December 12.
