HOLLYWOOD legend Bill Murray is to perform live in London later this year.

The Groundhog Day and Ghostbusters star is teaming up with classical musicians for two nights of live performance and discussion: in London and Edinburgh this June (2018).

The shows, entitled Bill Murray, Jan Vogler & Friends: New Worlds, will see Murray join friend and cellist Jan Vogler to celebrate the ties between American music and literature.

The show will visit the Royal Festival Hall, part of London’s Southbank Centre, on June 4, before heading to Edinburgh’s Festival Theatre on June 18.

Murray and Vogler first developed a creative partnership after meeting on their travels. They later became friends in New York and teamed up with violinist Mira Wang and pianist Vanessa Perez for a series of live shows.

Speaking about the project, Murray said: “I am bathing in this experience, really. I can’t get enough of it.”

Back in the film world, Murray is among the cast of the new Wes Anderson movie Isle of Dogs, which hits UK cinemas on March 30.

Tickets for Bill Murray, Jan Vogler & Friends: New Worlds go on sale at 10am on Thursday, March 29.
