BON Jovi have announced details of a summer residency at London’s O2 Arena as part of their 2010 world tour.

The band will begin a string of live dates in June next year that will mark the third anniversary of them playing their first live concert at the venue in 2007.

The dates also form part of the Circle tour, which is expected to last two years. Their tenth album, The Circle, will be released on November 10, 2009.

Rob Hallet, of promotional company AEG, said of the concerts: “When Jon Bon Jovi opened the O2 with the words, ‘Hello London, welcome to your new home’, little did he realise that we were already plotting to make it his new home!”

The summer residency takes place on June 7, 8, 10, 11 and 13, 2010 and tickets go on sale at 9am on October 30.

Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, David Bryan and Tico Torres are currently preparing to spend nearly two years spanning the globe, including landmark shows as the first musical act to play at The New Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey on May 26 and 27.
