Story by Jack Foley

AS she prepares to release her fifth studio album French Touch on October 6th, internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Carla Bruni has announces her first UK concert.

The singer will be playing London’s Union Chapel on December 9, 2017.

Having last toured in 2013 Carla is looking forward to returning to the stage, with her band, to perform songs from the new album and her previous four albums.

“My last tour was a few years ago and I didn’t come to the UK so I am so excited to finally play here. I have always dreamed of playing in London, a city that I love. It really will be a dream come true.”

Carla Bruni has been writing and performing music since 1997, with her first album, Quelqu’un m’a dit (Someone Told Me), being released in 2002.

Since then she has had three more critically acclaimed releases, selling over 3 million albums worldwide, including 2007’s, No Promises, which set English poems to music, 2008’s Comme si de rien n’était (As If Nothing Happened), and 2013’s Little French Songs.

Produced by legendary musician, producer and composer David Foster, French Touch brings together a trove of sentimental pop favourites; all re-imagined in Carla’s intimate and moving acoustic style and chosen for their personal significance – in her own words, songs that inspire the French term for love at first sight.
