ChildLine Rocks 2008: Daltrey and The Zombies join charity line-up

The Who

Story by Jack Foley

THE Who frontman Roger Daltrey will join rockers The Zombies and Marillion at the ChildLine Rocks concert in London this March to celebrate 21 years of Childline.

London’s Indig02 will host the event on March 13, which marks the charity’s first ever rock concert to help raise money.

Fans who buy VIP tickets will also be able to bid for guitars donated by Oasis brother Noel Gallagher and Status Quo at an auction, as well as a Led Zeppelin plaque and a guitar signed by all the bands on the bill.

In addition to Daltrey and Marillion, the line-up boasts sets from Russ Ballard (Argent), Brian Bennett, OBE (The Shadows), Fish, Thunder, Ian Paice (Deep Purple) and Glenn Hughes (Black Sabbath/Deep Purple).
