Cypress Hill announce Elephants on Acid UK tour (2018)

Cypress Hill

Story by Jack Foley

MULTI-platinum hip-hop group Cypress Hill have announced a major UK tour this winter, their first in over two years.

Across nine albums that have sold over 20 million copies worldwide, Cypress Hill redefined and shattered the boundaries of hip-hop, crafting gutter-dirty tracks that fused deep bass lines with blissful, stoned-out melodies and aggressive hard rock riffs.

Cypress Hill’s self-titled debut album came out in 1991 and sold over 2 million copies. They followed that with the release of the triple platinum album Black Sunday, which saw the group crossing-over to mainstream with their mega-hit Insane in the Brain.

Being the first Latino-American hip-hop group to have RIAA Certified platinum and multi-platinum albums Cypress Hill is widely respected as one of the most important groups in Hip Hop history.

2016 marked the group’s 25th anniversary and saw them release a limited edition of their ground-breaking debut album. Cypress Hill have also been in the studio and have plans to release music soon.

Now joined by DJ Mix Master Mike, Cypress Hill hit the UK following major festival appearances across the US.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday, June 15.

Cypress Hill’s UK tour dates are as follows (all November and December 2018)

November
30 – Manchester Academy

December
1 – Leeds O2 Academy
3 – Glasgow Barrowland
4 – Birmingham O2 Academy
5 – London O2 Academy Brixton
