Story by Jack Foley

DAFT Punk have confirmed that they are to make their first UK live appearance for nearly ten years at the 2006 Global Gathering.

The dance pioneers, who recently released their Greatest Hits compilation, will join a line-up that includes Fatboy Slim, Groove Armada and Paul Oakenfold at the event, which takes place at Long Marston Airfield, in Stratford upon Avon, on July 28 and 29.

Other acts include Tiesto, Sasha, Deep Dish, Erick Morillo, Paul Van Dyk, Carl Cox, Armin Van Buuren, Pete Tong and John Digweed.

The two-day dance event will also provide revellers with a fairground, a lapdancing club, and an adrenaline village with bungee jumping and other extreme rides.

There will also be skate ramps, BMX riders, breakdancers and graffiti artists to keep the crowds amused.

Weekend tickets with free camping cost £105.
