Dave Gilmour and New Order head Teenage Cancer Trust gigs (2016)
Story by Jack Foley
DAVID Gilmour and New Order have been confirmed as two of the headline acts for this year’s Teenage Cancer Trust gigs at the Royal Albert Hall (2016).
The line-up was announced by the charity’s Honorary Patron, Roger Daltrey CBE, on Monday (February 15), when he also confirmed that this year’s event will run from April 19 to 24, 2016.
The bill also includes The Vaccines, Everything Everything, Bring Me the Horizon, Simply Red and John Bishop.
2016 is the 16th year of shows which have seen the likes of Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Noel Gallagher, The Who, Oasis, Damon Albarn, Arctic Monkeys, Paul Weller, The Cure, Suede, Muse, Sir Paul McCartney, Tinie Tempah, Florence And The Machine, Kaiser Chiefs, Kasabian, Eric Clapton, Robert Plant, Sir Tom Jones, Johnny Marr, Biffy Clyro, Them Crooked Vultures, The Specials, Van Morrison, Pulp and many more all perform at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall.
From 2000 to 2015, over 200 artists will have performed at the Royal Albert Hall for the charity with nearly 500,000 fans in attendance including over 2,000 young people with cancer.
However, right now, for every young person with cancer Teenage Cancer Trust supports, there is another they currently cannot. This must change. By supporting Teenage Cancer Trust you are helping the charity get closer to the goal of supporting every young person with cancer in this country.

20 – The Vaccines with Everything Everything
