Deadmau5, For Lack of a Better Name

Story by Jack Foley

DANCE music phenomenon Deadmau5 is to take over the O2 Academy Brixton for a very special live performance on Friday, April 30, 2010.

The last two years have undoubtedly been dominated by the Mau5! In 2008, the relatively unknown Deadmau5 became the highest new entry in the DJ Top 100 Poll.

Jump forward a year and following two hit singles, a sell-out show at London’s Roundhouse Theatre and memorable festival appearances at Reading, Leeds and Creamfields, the mau5 has climbed the ranks even further sitting pretty at No.6.

Performing live, his sets consist mainly of his own material, assembling tracks on the fly, using cutting edge computer technology, including software he’s helped develop himself.

As an artiste that continues to strive to push the boundaries and this Brixton debut live performance is set to raise the benchmark for live events once again. The event will coincide with the May 2010 release of his first artiste album.

The event will feature exclusive cutting edge production, video and lighting systems creating an unforgettable show.It will also include, seen for the first time in the UK the highly anticipated new L.E.D mau5head!

Commenting on this forthcoming event the mau5 said: “Im looking forward to my UK return, let’s have it J.”
