Del Amitri announce UK tour (2014)

Del Amitri

Story by Jack Foley

DEL Amitri return from a 10 year sabbatical to announce a new UK tour for January and February 2014.

The dates will see the band wheel out every hit from every era of their lengthy recording career. And Justin Currie and Iain Harvie will once again be joined on stage by Andy Alston, Kris Dollimore and Ashley Soan.

It’s been 30 years since Del Amitri’s debut single, Sense Sickness, which paved the way for their million selling breakthrough album Waking Hours (1989) and its follow-up, 1992’s Change Everything, which featured the massive radio single Always The Last To Know.

Commenting on the comeback dates, guitarist Iain Harvie said: “Whenever anyone asked if Del Amitri would ever re-form our standard response was ‘We never broke up – the phone just stopped ringing.’”
