Denai Moore announces March 2014 dates

Denai Moore

Story by Jack Foley

FOLLOWING her sold-out show at St Pancras Church last week and her performance on last night’s Later…with Jools Holland on BBC2 (watch below), 20 year-old East Londoner Denai Moore has now announced a 2014 UK tour.

The singer will perform three dates in total, at venues in Manchester, London and Bristol.

Denai Moore’s UK dates are (all March 2014):

25- Manchester, The Castle Hotel
26 – London, St Giles In The Fields
27 – Bristol, The Birdcage

Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday, November 8.

Denai has also been confirmed as the support to Volcano Choir in Bristol this Sunday (November 10).

Denai’s new EP, The Lake, was released earlier this week on Because Music as 12 inch single and download. The heartbreakingly beautiful lead track The Lake was produced by Ben Drew (AKA Plan B), who recently described Denai as a “melancholy angel” in the NME.

Born in Jamaica but raised in Stratford, Denai Moore has been creating music since she was seven. Thanks to a youthful obsession with Lauryn Hill, Denai learnt about crafting songs infused with honesty and pure emotion.

More recently, her love of artists like Bon Iver, Feist and James Blake, has led her to write the kind of soul searching, heart-on sleeve, disarmingly honest songs that have been know to make grown men cry. A natural and instinctive songwriter, Denai penned all the tracks on the EP – there are no co-writes.
