Dirty Pretty Things to play T-Mobile Street Gig

Dirty Pretty Things

Story by Jack Foley

DIRTY Pretty Things are the latest recruits to the T-Mobile Street Gig series when they will be quite literally taking things underground at The Vaults, London Bridge, on May 31.

If you missed seeing The Streets perform in a lighthouse or The Rakes in a kebab shop, then the Dirty Pretty Things gig is your chance to catch up on some of the most exciting concert events in the capital.

Hot from their sold-out debut UK tour, ex-Libertine front man Carl Barat and his new band invite music fans to get gritty with them as they play in the darkness of The Vaults!

Steeped in history, The Vaults is a vast 70,000 square foot labyrinth with railway arches, arched chambers and lots of dark spaces.

Like the band, The Vaults is mysterious, a little bit rough around the edges and it’s been a bit battered in its time but that only adds to its appeal!

T-Mobile Street Gigs – the lowdown

Tickets for the T-Mobile Streets Gigs are strictly by invite only. To be in with a chance of getting on the guestlist, music fans must register online at www.t-mobile.co.uk/street by midnight on May 23, 2006.

The gigs are designed to be unexpected and the only given at an event is that they offer superb live music, original ideas, incredible venues and a phenomenal experience that you won’t get anywhere else!

After Dirty Pretty Things, there are 17 more gigs to come in 2006. So get registered to make sure you don’t miss out on the fun!

  1. Keep them coming – in an age where gigs sell out so quickly to the rich and richer these really are great opportunities for real fans
