Florence & The Machine

Story by Jack Foley

A COLLABORATION between Dizzee Rascal and Florence & The Machine is one of the highlights to look forward to at the forthcoming Brits Awards ceremony on February 16, 2010.

The first set of live performers were unveiled by UK record labels’ body, The BPI, on Monday morning – just hours ahead of the official unveiling of the nominees list.

Dizzee Rascal and Florence & The Machine will team up for a specially mashed up version of the song, You Got The Dirtee Love.

They will be joined in performing live by rockers Kasabian, Lady Gaga and JLS.

Ged Doherty, Chairman of The BRITs Committee, said: “It’s an exciting line-up. These acts are young, vibrant and hugely talented. Each brings something different to the BRITs party. With Robbie Williams already confirmed and more surprises in store, BRITs-30 will be the music event of the year.”

The aforementioned Robbie Williams has already been announced as the closing act for the show, which will be screened live to millions of ITV viewers from London’s Earl’s Court on February 16.

The nominations for The BRIT Awards 2010 with MasterCard will be unveiled tonight (Monday, January 18, 2010), at The IndigO2. The launch will be televised from 8pm on ITV2.
