The Outsider marks DJ Shadow’s first new album since 2002’s The Private Press and features a host of guest artists including Kasabian, Q-Tip and Turf Talk.

Commenting on his website, the artist said: “The album is very diverse and reflects the fact that I don’t fit comfortably in any one genre. My critics see that as a problem, but I don’t… it’s simply the way things are.”

The release of the album will be followed by the single Enuff on September 24.
