Dolly Parton's UK tour to go ahead as planned

DOLLY Parton has confirmed that the European leg of her world tour will go ahead as planned – despite having to postpone the US leg because of back ache.

The tour to promote her Backwoods Barbie album was due to start in Minneapolis later this month but doctors have advised the country singer to take eight weeks off, prompting her to re-schedule.

And the famously buxom performer attributed the bad back to the size of her breasts, light-heartedly joking in a statement: “You try wagging these puppies around a while and see if you don’t have back problems!

“I know I’ve been breaking my neck and bending over backwards trying to get my new Backwoods Barbie CD and world tour together, but I didn’t mean to hurt myself doing it,” she continued.

“Seriously though, the doctors said I will be good as new in a few weeks, and I can’t wait to get back out there.”

Parton will take to the stage in Sweden in June, before heading to the UK in July and playing two nights at London’s O2 Arena on July 5 and 6.
