Don't Look Back gigs return to London (2006)

THE popular Don’t Look Back concerts are due to return to London in 2006, featuring a line-up including Ennio Morricone (pictured), Tortoise, Nightmares on Wax and Low.

The concerts involve getting key acts to play one of their seminal albums in its entirety and last year’s series included The Lemonheads performing It’s A Shame About Ray and Belle and Sebastian revisiting If You’re Feeling Sinister.

The acts so far confirmed as part of the 2006 season are:

Green on Red performing Gas Food Lodging at KOKO, Camden on July 18.

Ennio Morricone performing his film soundtracks (Arena Concerto) at Hammersmith Apollo on July 19.

Girls Against Boys performing Venus Luxure No 1 Baby at Camden’s Koko on July 21.

Nightmares on Wax performing Smoker’s Delight on July 22 at Shepherd’s Bush Empire.

Isis performing Oceanic at Koko on July 23.

Teenage Fanclub performing Bandwagonesque at The Forum on July 24.

Tortoise performing Millions Now Living Will Never Die at KOKO on July 25.

And Low performing Things We Lost In The Fire at KOKO on July 26.

Further acts are due to be announced over the coming weeks, while tickets for the existing line-up have been on sale since March 6, from 9am.
