Editors announce 2010 tour dates

EDITORS, who this week joined a select group of artists to achieve consecutive UK No.1 albums when their third studio album, In This Light And On This Evening, went straight to the top of the chart on its release have announced further tour dates for the UK.

With their current sold out UK tour coming to an end, the band have now announced the following dates for next year which see them visit towns that were not on the current touring schedule.

They will, however, be stopping off at London’s Brixton Academy as well!

The tour dates are (all March 2010):

7 – Guildhall, Preston
8 – St. George’s Hall, Bradford
10 – Academy, Glasgow
11 – Fat Sams, Dundee
12 – Ironworks, Inverness
13 – Music Hall, Aberdeen
15 – Academy, Newcastle
16 – Apollo, Manchester
17 – Corn Exchange, Cambridge
19 – Academy, Bournemouth
20 – Dome, Brighton
21 – University, Cardiff
23 – Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone
24 – Brixton Academy, London
28 – Guildhall, Portmouth
29 – Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool
30 – Academy, Birmingham

Tickets go on sale on Friday, October 23 at 9am priced £20/£22.50 London only (subject to booking fee).

The band also scored Top 20 placings with In This Light And On This Evening across Europe, including debuts at No. 2 in Belgium (where Papillon became the first international act track to debut at No.1 in 15 years a fortnight ago), and No.3 in Holland.
