El-P returns with new single and controversial video
Story by Jack Foley
FOLLOWING the recent release of his highly praised second solo album, I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead, El-P unveils a new video, single and live footage.
Smithereens has inspired a stunning and powerful video that has already caused controversy in the US and been banned from the vast majority of outlets – mainly because of its emphasis on torture and blood-letting.

In other El-P news, The Overly Dramatic Truth will be released as a single on July 2 backed with all new remixes uniting two talented, up and coming producers from either side of the Atlantic.
London dwelling pioneer of the dubstep scene Bass Clef mans the dials for Everything Must Go, whilst New Yorker Cassettes Won’t Listen steps into the cockpit on Flyentology, which also features the mighty vocals of Mr Trent Reznor.
El-P will be back on UK turf soon for further electrifying live dates. But thanks to the fine people over at Dazed Digital, some of the blood, sweat and tears of joy from his recent Dingwalls show can be witnessed here
Enjoy…
