Elbow announce biggest ever UK tour (2008)

FOLLOWING the release of their critically acclaimed fourth studio album The Seldom Seen Kid Elbow will embark on their second UK tour this year in October.

The band will play a total of 12 dates, kicking off at The Corn Exchange in Cambridge and including two night’s at London’s legendary Roundhouse venue.

Tickets for the gigs go on sale on Thursday, June 26, and are as follows (all October 2008):

10 – Cardiff, University Great Hall
11 & 12 – London, Roundhouse
15 – Wolverhampton, Civic Hall
16 – Leicester, De Montfort Hall
18 – Leeds, Academy
20 – Gateshead, Sage
22 – Liverpool, University
23 – Manchester, Apollo

With The Seldom Seen Kid Elbow have firmly cemented their position as one of the UK’s most valued bands, with the album securing their fourth consecutive 9/10 review in the NME (a unique feat not achieved by any other band in the history of the magazine), scores of glowing reviews and a declaration from The Times that The Seldom Seen Kid is “surely one of the year’s best records”.
