Ellie Goulding to play at BRITs nominations launch

BRITs Critics’ Choice winner Ellie Goulding will join Pixie Lott and La Roux by performing at the BRITs Nominations Launch at The IndigO2 on Monday, January 18, 2010.

The event will be hosted by Fearne Cotton and will be attended by guests including JLS, Chris Moyles, Gabrielle Cilmi and many more.

The nominations launch will unveil which candidates will be battling it out in each category for the coveted BRIT trophies.

As well as the live performances, all the reactions from newly nominated artists, gossip and comment from backstage can be seen on ITV2 at 8pm that evening.

Goulding is currently recording her debut album, which is due to be released in March 2010 through Polydor Records. Her next single, Starry-eyed, is released on February 22.

She will take to the BRITs nominations launch stage alongside electro’s leading lady LA Roux, whose singles In For The Kill and “Bulletproof, reached No.2 and No.1 in the UK charts respectively.

Joining them on the night will be Pixie Lott who has had two successive No.1 hits and was the recipient of the recent MTV Europe Music Awards 2009 Best UK & Ireland Act.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the BRIT Awards 2010 with MasterCard is shaping up to one of the most exciting shows yet.

Already confirmed is, Robbie Williams – recipient of the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award – who is expected to bring the show to a close at Earl’s Court on Tuesday, February 16.

As the excitement builds, the newly revamped BRITs website will, for the first time, unlock the BRIT Awards footage archive.

Over the past year, the BRITs team has been busy digitising the past 30 years of photos, footage and performances in order for to become the official home of everything you ever needed to know, see or hear about the BRITs.
