FLEETWOOD Mac have confirmed they are to reunite in Spring 2013 for a new tour.

Speaking to ABC News Radio in America, Stevie Nicks said that the classic rock band will reform next year to mark the 35th anniversary of their seminal album Rumours.

The line-up will comprise guitarist Lindsey Buckingham, drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie, although Christine McVie will reportedly not be involved.

Nicks told ABC News Radio: “We go into rehearsals somewhere around the end of February. So, if everything goes to plan, we should probably be out by end of April [or] May, I would think.”

News of their reunion has already prompted speculation that the band could be announced as part of next year’s Glastonbury line-up, along with The Rolling Stones.

Fuelling that speculation, Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis recently told NME: “I think Fleetwood Mac would be amazing to get. We haven’t had any conversations with them yet but, you know, it is still early days.”
