Foals return with new single and Royal Albert Hall date
Story by Jack Foley
FOALS return after two years with comeback track Inhaler and a live date at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall.
The new single is heavier than anything Foals have written before but still infuses it with their inimitable groove and funk. The lyrics reference claustrophobia and narcissism.
The band’s London show is their first since Brixton Academy in 2010.
They will play the prestigious Royal Albert Hall on Thursday, March 28 as part of the Albert Sessions.
Tickets go on sale Friday, November 9 at 9.30am.
As part of the Albert Sessions, Foals will also be taking part in a number of Royal Albert Hall education initiatives around their gig as part of the Hall’s extensive public benefit remit.
These will include a music workshop with teenagers from around London, a press conference for young journalists and a Q&A careers session with Peter Mensch from Q Prime management, which will offer students a unique opportunity to present their questions to one of the biggest names in music management.
With two top 10 albums already under their belt, Oxford five-piece Foals prepare to return with their third. The new album is titled Holy Fire and is due for UK release on February 11, 2013.
