Story by Jack Foley

THE Foo Fighters’ sold-out Wembley Stadium shows are to be given a special cinema screening at 50 Vue cinemas in the UK, including the chain’s flagship West End multi-plex in Leicester Square.

Footage of the two gigs, which took place on June 6 and 7, will be screened from June 24, 2008.

The shows, which have been described by the band themselves as the best they’ve ever played, included a surprise appearance by members of Led Zeppelin on the second night.

A spokesman for the band commented: “These Wembley shows have been the most incredible experience of the band’s entire career. They’ve never played bigger or better for a more insanely huge and appreciative crowd. It was an unforgettable occasion for everyone onstage and off.”

The cinema screenings will enable the fans to see (or even re-live) the performances in High Definition and 5.1 Surround Sound.

Vue are predicting that this will be one of the hottest tickets of the summer and have advised fans to book early to avoid disappointment. To find out which cinemas are taking part, visit the Vue website
