Story by Jack Foley

THE Fun Lovin’ Criminals are among the acts lined up to perform at the first ever Foundation Festival in Somerset this September (2006).

The hip New Yorkers will join Welsh hip-hop collective Goldie Lookin’ Chain, Kosheen and Coldcut in heading the bill from September 1-3.

The Foundation Festival will boast six live stages and a capacity crowd of 20,000. It will also feature circus and burlesque acts and a dance tent, as well as promoting charitable organisations such as Oxfam, War Child and Shelter.

Festival organiser Oliver Gurney commented: “We felt it was our responsibility to support good causes in order to bring about change for future generations and give people a damn good time doing it.”

Further headline acts are still to be announced for the Somerset festival.
