Frank Turner added to Teenage Cancer Trust gigs (2015)

Story by Jack Foley

AN extra night has been added to the line-up for Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall featuring Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls.

Their only UK show for the foreseeable future, the folk-punk five-piece promise to put on one of their trademark sing-along gigs for the charity on Sunday, March 29, 2015.

Frank has been a supporter of Teenage Cancer Trust since visiting and playing to a group of young people with cancer at the charity’s Nottingham unit last year.

Famous for his vigorously energetic shows, the Kerrang! Award winner’s most recent album Tape Deck Heart rocketed into the charts at number two in 2013, receiving critical acclaim across the board.

In recent years, he has also performed at the Olympic opening ceremony with his band, and recently headlined both Wembley Arena and the O2 Arena.

Frank said: “I’m honoured to be part of Teenage Cancer Trust’s shows – they’re a prestigious institution unto themselves. I’m keeping some amazing company and working to raise money for a great and important cause. It’s going to be a special occasion.”

Tickets cost £25 (plus booking fee) and are on sale from 9am on Tuesday, February 10.
