Willie Nelson

Story by Jack Foley

WILLIE Nelson (pictured), rapper Snoop Dogg and Faithless are among the top acts who have been revealed in the final line-up for this year’s Glastonbury Festival (2010).

They will join previously confirmed headliners Muse, Stevie Wonder and U2 at the event, which celebrates its 40th birthday this year.

Further high profile names come in the form of Scissor Sisters, Vampire Weekend, Pet Shop Boys and Paloma Faith in what organiser Michael Eavis described as “a staggering” line-up.

This year’s festival runs from June 23-27 at Worthy Farm, Somerset and is now sold out.

Added Eavis: “This is it! The most staggering line up to match the 40-year reputation of the festival.”

Snoop Dogg, Willie Nelson and Vampire Weekend will all play the Pyramid Stage on Friday, which is headlined by U2, while Scissor Sisters will play before Muse on the main stage on Saturday, and Pet Shop Boys will perform on the Other Stage.

Paloma Faith and Faithless are lined up to play Sunday, before Stevie Wonder headlines.

Other acts on the 350-strong bill include The Flaming Lips, Hot Chip, Florence & The Machine, Reef, Lightning Seeds, Norah Jones and former Guns N’Roses star Slash.
