Glastonbury 2013: Rolling Stones, Arctic Monkeys and Mumford & Sons headline

THE Rolling Stones, Mumford & Sons and Arctic Monkeys have all been confirmed as the headline acts for the 2013 Glastonbury Festival taking place between June 28 and 30.

The Stones have long been rumoured as a headline act and the confirmation marks the first time the veteran rockers have played at the festival at Worthy Farm, Somerset. They will play on the Saturday night in front of an estimated 135,000 people.

Mick Jagger Tweeted: “Can’t wait to play Glastonbury. I have my wellies and my yurt!”

The full line-up, announced on the official website, includes Primal Scream, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds and Elvis Costello, as well as Jake Bugg, Vampire Weekend, Kenny Rogers and Ben Howard.

Chart acts such as Professor Green, Rita Ora and Dizzee Rascal will also appear on the Pyramid stage.

While Portishead, The Smashing Pumpkins, Of Monsters and Men and Two Door Cinema Club are among the acts confirmed for The Other Stage.

Hurts, James Blake, Bastille, Miles Kane and Jessie Ware are among the names appearing on The John Peel Stage, while Chic feat Nile Rogers, Public Enemy, Sergio Mendes and The Weeknd are among those appearing on the West Holts Stage.

Elsewhere on the huge Somerset site will be performances by he XX, The Lumineers, Alabama Shakes, Foals, Tom Tom Club, rap stalwarts Public Enemy, Dinosaur Jr, The Horrors and Johnny Marr.

This year’s Glastonbury is already sold out but there will be some re-sales available next month.
