Goldfrapp announce November UK tour (2010)

Story by Jack Foley

GOLDFRAPP have announced their first major UK tour for two years to take place in November 2010.

The tour announcement comes as the band embark on several major festival performances this summer, taking their brand new Head First album on the road for the first time.

Ahead of their own tour, UK shows confirmed so far include headlining a night at the iTunes Festival, as well as T in the Park, Oxegen, V and LED.

Goldfrapp are also playing headline shows in Australia this summer as well as several major European festivals including Benicassim and Pukkelpop.

Following the massive acclaim for both the Supernature and Seventh Tree tours (The Observer said the latter was ‘a privilege to witness’) and festival appearances around the world, Goldfrapp have underlined their reputation as one of the most transcendent and inventive live bands around.

Meanwhile, Goldfrapp release their new single Believer on September 6, 2010, through Mute. The track comes with a remix package including mixes by Vince Clarke, Subway, Joris Voorn and Davide Rossi.

Goldfrapp’s UK tour dates are (all November 2010):

11 – London, HMV Hammersmith Apollo
13 – Brighton, Dome
14 – Birmingham, O2 Academy
16 – Leeds, O2 Academy
