Greenwich Festival Summer Sessions: Line-up confirmed

THE Greenwich Festivals: Summer Sessions is a new outdoor concert series in the majestic setting of the Old Royal Naval College, right in the heart of Greenwich, with some leading names from across the music world.

The four stunning music events, themed around Greenwich’s unique heritage and history – Rebels, Royals, Rivers and Runners – will help to celebrate Greenwich’s role as a host borough for London 2012 as the two year countdown to the Olympic and Paralympic Games begins.

Special ticket discount applies for all London Borough of Greenwich residents.

The line-up is as follows (all July 2010)…

21 – Rebels featuring The Levellers/Seth Lakeman (pictured)
Doors: 6pm, on stage 7.30pm
Tickets: £25 (£22.50 Greenwich residents) + booking fee

22 – Royals feat Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra
Music for a summer’s evening with Timothy Redmond (Conductor), Nicky Spence (Tenor) and Natasha Marsh (Soprano).
Doors: 6pm, on stage 7.30pm
Tickets: £25 (£22.50 Greenwich residents) + booking fee

23 – Rivers feat Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra (including Gilson Lavis and special guests Alison Moyet, Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall)
Doors: 6pm, on stage 7.30pm
Ticket: £32.50 (£27.50 Greenwich residents) + booking fee

25 – Runners feat Athlete and special guests I Am Kloot, The Invisible, Tape the Radio, Sunday Girl and The Carl Picton Cartel
Doors: 2pm, on stage 3pm (Please note early start time)
Tickets: £25 (£22.50 Greenwich residents) + booking fee.
