Guns N Roses

Story by Jack Foley

GUNS N’ Roses are to play a one-off date in London as a warm-up for their appearance at this year’s Download Festival.

The band will play the Hammersmith Apollo on June 7 – just four days before their appearance at Download.

The gig will be the band’s first in the UK since they performed at the London Arena on August 26, 2002 and will be their first appearance at the Apollo for almost 20 years.

The last time they performed at the indoor venue was during their Appetite For Destruction tour under the band’s original line-up in 1987.

Tickets for the show cost £37.50 and go on sale on Friday, May 19 at 9am. Californian rockers Avenged Sevenfold provide the support.
