FOLLOWING the release of their critically acclaimed eponymous third album last year, Hell Is For Heroes have announced a farewell UK tour through November and December 2008.

The band have announced an indefinite hiatus as they pursue other artistic avenues, which means that these will be the last dates the band will play for the foreseeable future.

The final dates are:

November 2008
7 – Nottingham: Rock City
15 – Manchester: Roadhouse
27 – Shepherds Bush: Bush Hall
29 – Bristol: The KLA

December 2008
6 – Birmingham: Eddies Rock Club
12 – Glasgow: The Barfly

Hell Is For Heroes have established themselves as a powerful live act. They have toured across the world with bands as diverse as Biffy Clyro, Reuben, Aerogramme, ‘A’, The Lucky Nine, Hundred Reasons, Sparta, thisGIRL, Feeder and Papa Roach.

Their latest album, Hell is for Heroes, was released June 2007, and was an album of brooding and powerful rock.

Hell Is For Heroes is Justin Schlosberg (vocals), Will McGonagle (guitar), Tom O’Donoghue (guitar), James Findlay (bass) and Joe Birch (drums).

The band, formed in early 2001, quickly rose to prominence with their EMI released debut The Neon Handshake.

Following a split with EMI in 2004 the band followed up their debut with another acclaimed album in Transmit Disrupt initially through credible indie label Captains Of Industry before being re–released on esteemed hardcore labels Burning Heart in Europe and Epitaph Records in the US.

The new album was self released through Golf Records, the label arm of Plastichead distribution.
