Inspiral Carpets to play Life in full at March 2013 UK tour

FOLLOWING a summer of festival appearances Inspiral Carpets have announced that they are performing their debut album Life for the first time in its entirety, in March on a full UK tour.
The album has been re-mastered and will be accompanied by the long awaited DVD version of their legendary G-Mex performance 21790. Life was released in 1990 and reached number 2 in the UK album charts.
Recently Inspiral Carpets released their first material in 15 years with single You’re So Good For Me. And March 2012 saw reinstated founder member, Stephen Holt tour the UK with the band for the first time in 24 years.
In May, the band were special guests on the Happy Mondays’ tour which was their first tour together with their original line up including a show at Manchester Arena.
Apart from performing Life in full expect a set which defined Inspiral Carpets as one of the most important British bands of their generation.
Commenting on what to expect, Clint Boon said: “I have great memories of us writing and recording Life. The culmination of the first 5 years of us making Inspiral music. Such an exciting time for us lot. The Life album is our most psychedelic and diverse work. Working class Oldham meets timeless garage pop.”
