Story by Jack Foley

ICONIC metallers Iron Maiden have announced a tour of the UK and Ireland this winter (2006), including a date at London’s Earl’s Court.

The tour dates will be in support of the band’s new album and will kick off in Cardiff on December 11.

Guitarist, Steve Harris, told the NME: “We’ve finished most of the writing of the album and have just started recording with Kevin Shirley so we’re all very charged up at the moment to make a great record.

“Reaction to the tour so far has been brilliant and we’re looking forward to putting a great show together for the fans and getting back out on the road.”

The tour dates are:

December 11 – Cardiff NIA
12 – Birmingham NEC
14 – Manchester MEN Arena
15 – Glasgow SECC
17 – Newcastle Arena
18 – Sheffield Arena
20 – Dublin Point
22 – London Earl’s Court

American band, Trivium, will support Iron Maiden on each date.

Fan club members can buy their tickets exclusively five days in advance of the UK dates going on sale to the general public – and two days ahead of the Dublin ones.
