Jack Johnson announces UK tour, album and Glastonbury - Win tickets

JACK Johnson has announced plans for a new studio album, a world tour and a Glastonbury appearance in 2010.

Johnson and his band have entered the Mango Tree Studio to record his sixth studio album, To The Sea, which was released world-wide in May and shot straight to the No.1 spot in the UK album charts.

Johnson will embark on his first world tour since 2008, which will kick off in Europe on June 16.

The tour will be a mix of headline shows London (O2 Arena), Paris, Berlin, and Amsterdam and festivals including Glastonbury (UK) and Roskilde (Denmark).

In addition, Johnson’s Kokua Festival returned for a sixth year on Earth Day weekend – April 23 and 24, 2010 – at the Waikiki Shell in Honolulu, Hawaii.

All proceeds from the Kokua Festival go to the Kokua Hawaii Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by Jack and Kim Johnson to support environmental education programs in the schools and communities of Hawaii.

This year, Jack is proud to share the stage with Ziggy Marley (solo acoustic) and Taj Mahal at the Sixth Kokua Festival.

Tickets for Cardiff Arena are priced at £35 and tickets for the London O2 Arena show are £30/£37.50. They go on sale on Friday, February 5 at 9am.
