Story by Jack Foley

JAMES are to play a very special, intimate show at London’s Electric Ballroom on Wednesday, May 28, 2014.

The gig will mark the first time in their illustrious 30-year career that they have ever played the venue.

Tickets go on sale 9am on Friday, April 4 and are priced at £32.50 (+ booking fees).

Founding member Jim Glennie comments: “These smaller gigs are always rare gems and this one will be extra special as we are playing lots of songs off the new album, La Petite Mort. I hope you manage to get a ticket.”

James return on June 2 with La Petite Mort, their first new full length album in six years. Highlights include the forthcoming single Moving On, the 6Music playlisted taster Frozen Britain and Curse Curse.

The album is produced by Max Dingel (Killers, Muse, White Lies) and written, as ever, by the band with lyrics by Tim Booth.

James are: Tim Booth (vocals), Jim Glennie (bass), Larry Gott (guitars), Saul Davies (guitar, violin), Mark Hunter (keyboards), David Baynton-Power (drums) and Andy Diagram (trumpet).
