Jason Donovan to release sixth studio album in March

JASON Donovan is to release a new album on March 12, 2012 through Polydor Records.

The as-yet-untitled album is Donovan’s sixth studio album in a distinguished recording career that has lasted almost a quarter of a century.

The actor-singer commented: “It feels great to be going back in the studio. I know exactly how I want the new album to sound and I’m as excited as I’ve ever been about a record. I want to give a massive thank you to my fans for all their support in 2011, here’s to a brilliant 2012!”

Thus far in his career, Jason has been responsible for several hit singles, including four UK No. 1’s, and has sold millions of albums world-wide.

As a musical theatre actor he has starred in many legendary West End productions, including Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Rocky Horror Show, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Sweeney Todd and Priscilla Queen Of The Desert.

Donovan first shot to fame as an actor in 1986 when he took the role of Scott Robinson in the Australian TV soap Neighbours at the very height of its popularity.

Most recently, Donovan took part in the ninth series of BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing, where he was partnered with Kristina Rihanoff. The pair made it to the last weekend’s final at Blackpool Tower Ballroom, finishing third in the competition.

Donovan will be taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tourwhich starts on January 20 at Birmingham National Indoor Arena.
