RAPPER Jay-Z has joined forces with Rihanna and Kanye West for his new single, Run This Town, which is due for release on August 31 via Roc Nation.

Since its very first worldwide radio debut on July 24, the track has garnered much attention in the UK, enjoying spot plays on stations across the country.

Produced by No-ID and Kanye West, it’s already A-listed at Radio 1Xtra, B-listed at Radio 1 and C-listed at both Choice FM and the Galaxy Network to name a few.

Run This Town is the first single proper to come from the hotly anticipated – The Blueprint 3 album, out in the UK on September 14.

In the US, the record drops on September 11, exactly eight years to the day since the release of the first Blueprint album and also marks the anniversary of the New York September 11 bombings.

“The trilogy has come full circle”, explains Jay-Z. “Blueprint encompasses the essence of those that influenced me. It pays homage to the soul music our parents played.”

He continued: “Musically, the album recognises that there is a generation of us that are influencing the next wave of artists. The album lays the groundwork for what can happen next.”

Jay Z will play a string of live dates with Coldplay in September, starting in Manchester, followed by Glasgow and two dates in London at Wembley Stadium.
