Jet announce new UK tour (2007)

Story by Jack Foley

FOLLOWING their blistering sold-out UK tour, which culminated in two sweat-drenched Brixton Academy shows last week, Jet have announced seven further shows for March 2007, including London’s Hammersmith Apollo.

The band are currently on their way to Australia to headline the Make Poverty History concert at Melbourne’s Myer Music Bowl, after which they’ll return to the US for a month-long tour

In January 2007, the rockers then return to Oz as one of the mainstage headliners for all six of the national Big Day Out festivals.

Prior to the March 2007 UK shows, Jet will undertake a two-week European run to make up for the shows that were cancelled last month when Nic was diagnosed with nodules.

Fortunately, Nic’s nodules now appear to be fully resolved, which was screamingly obvious to everyone at the recent UK shows.

The band are set to release new single Bring It On Back on November 20, taken from the band’s new gold album Shine On.

The 2007 tour dates are (all March):

3 – Glasgow Academy
4 – Manchester, Apollo
7 – London, Hammersmith Apollo
9 – Newport, Centre
10 – Portsmouth, Guildhall
12 – Plymouth, Pavilions
13 – Wolverhampton, Civic

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday, November 17, priced £16.50 except London £18.
