Jet join Electric Proms Barfly line-up

FRESH from the release of their latest album, Shine On, Australian rockers Jet have been added to the Barfly leg of the BBC Electic Proms concerts.

The band will be playing the Camden venue along with The View on October 26.

The BBC Electric Proms concert series is a new London festival designed at showcasing some of the best names in the industry in intimate venues.

The first leg takes place at The Roundhouse and features the likes of Damon Albarn’s The Good, The Bad And The Queen (October 26) and The Who (October 29) and James Brown (October 27).

A special John Peel Day has also been scheduled for October 26 at The Electric Ballroom featuring The Raconteurs.

The Barfly line-up, meanwhile, includes a night with The Klaxons on October 25, who’ll play with The Young Knives, and Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly and Scott Matthews on October 27.

Larrikin Love and The Pigeon Detectives play on October 28, while the final date of the Barfly leg of the Proms, on October 29, will feature a selection of new bands showcased at The Next Stage project.
