Jorja Smith announces UK tour (2018)

Story by Jack Foley

JORJA Smith has unveiled a series of UK tour dates for October 2018.

The songstress, who recently won the 2018 Brits Critics’ Choice award, will play headline shows across Norwich, Bristol, Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham, and concluding with London’s O2 Brixton Academy – her biggest tour to date.

The tour follows her sold out UK tour this month, which will finish next week with two headline shows at London’s prestigious 02 Shepherd’s Bush Empire.

To date, the songstress has received glowing live reviews across the board, cementing her as one of the most exciting artists to see live this year.

Jorja’s new single, Let Me Down, kick-started the New Year for the young vocalist. The frank and honest track also features an emotion-filled rap from British MC Stormzy, whose critically acclaimed album, Gang Signs & Prayer, hit the number one spot last year and went on to sell over 290,000 copies.

Having been tipped for success in 2017 by a plethora of publications including The Fader, i-D Magazine, Complex, The Guardian, and more, Jorja Smith went on to feature in the BBC Sound of 2017 poll, and completed her first US headline tour.

Jorja, who also recently supported mega-star Bruno Mars on the US leg of his world tour, has previously shared collaborations with global lyricist Drake (More Life) and Colombian songstress Kali Uchis (Tyrant).
