Kaiser Chiefs announce UK dates (2007)

KAISER Chiefs have announced UK tour dates for early in 2007 to help support the release of their new album and single.

A total of 12 shows are taking place, with the tour starting five days before the release of their album on February 21 in Manchester.

They will also play London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on March 3 and 4.

The full dates are:

February
21-22 – Manchester Carling Apollo
23 & 25 – Wolverhampton Civic Hall
26 -27 – Newcastle Carling Academy

March
3-4 – London Shepherds Bush Empire
6-7 – Glasgow Carling Academy
9-10 – Cardiff University Great Hall

Ruby, the first track to be appear from their keenly-anticipated sophomore album, will be released on February 19.

Available on limited edition 7” and CD single, it will come out as a download a week earlier on February 12 and debut on radio on January 8.

The band will also be touring North America in April. The US dates form part of the NME Presents series and include the following shows so far (all April):

13 – New York Roseland Ballroom
18 – Toronto Kool Haus
20 – Chicago Vic Theatre
27 – San Francisco Warfield Theatre
