Katzenjammer announce May 2015 UK tour

Katzenjammer

Story by Jack Foley

NORWEGIAN alt-folk-country-rock mavericks Katzenjammer announce a four date tour in support of their new album Rockland (released March 2, 2015).

One of the most non-conformist bands around, Katzenjammer are all singers and multi-instrumentalists, sharing lead vocals, instruments and song-writing duties.

Tickets for the four gigs go on sale on Friday, February 6 at 9am.

The dates are (all May 2015):

8 – Nottingham Rescue Rooms (£13.50)
9 – Glasgow Oran Mor (£13.50)
10 – Manchester Ruby Lounge (£13.50)
11 – London Scala (£15.50)

Having previously headlined at the Scala, supported Keane at the O2 Arena, and thrilled at Glastonbury, Bestival and Cambridge Folk Festival, Katzenjammer always make a huge impact with their genre-mixing, full-on riotous shows.

Nothing if not utterly distinctive, four smart and super-talented Norwegian musicians – Anne Marit Bergheim, Turid Jørgensen, Solveig Heilo and Marianne Sveen – met at music school in 2005 and have mastered a thrillingly diverse blend of country, folk, blues, pop and rock. There is no one like Katzenjammer.
