Keane announce UK autumn tour (2006)

KEANE have announced their first UK tour of 2006 in October, including a date at London’s Alexandra Palace.

With the band’s second album, Under The Iron Sea emphatically topping the UK album charts, Keane look set to build even further on the meteoric success of their debut, Hopes And Fears.

Apart from two warm-up gigs for fans in London at ULU and the Astoria, these dates are their first string of UK shows since November 2004’s three sold-out nights at London’s Brixton Academy.

Tickets will go on fan-club pre-sale through the ‘Shop’ at from Wednesday, June 21 and on general sale at 9am on Friday, June 23.

The dates are (all October):
Tues 17 – Hull Arena
Weds 18 – Manchester Apollo
Thurs 19 – Aberdeen Press & Journal Arena
Sat 21 – Reading Rivermead
Sun 22 – Wolverhampton Civic
Mon 23 – Plymouth Pavilions
Weds 25 – Brighton Centre
Thurs 26 – London Alexandra Palace

The band will also be performing at this year’s V Festival (August 19 and 20) as well as T on the Fringe at Princes St Gardens, Edinburgh (August 30).
