Kelis announces two London dates (2010)

Story by Jack Foley

KELIS is heading to the UK in May with two live shows in London designed to help promote her new album, Flesh Tone.

The new album and its lead single, Acapella, mark the first release from Kelis in four years – and the single is already top 3 at iTunes on downloads alone!

Kelis’ first date takes place at G-A-Y, at Heaven, on May 8, 2010 and is followed by a night at The Coronet on May 14.

Flesh Tone, the new album from Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Kelis, will be released on May 17 in the UK. It marks her first for Music Group/Interscope Records.

In addition to working with David Guetta on the single Acapella, several other influential producers helped Kelis realise her vision for Flesh Tone, her first album in nearly four years.

Label head, who describes her as “a best kept secret,” produced one track and she also worked with Free School, Boys Noize, Burnz, DJ Ammo and Benny Benassi.

Acapella is available digitally now and will be released physically on music group/ Interscope on May 10.
